The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) were announced on Thursday, with a few surprises.

Newcomer Gabourey Sidibe will be competing in the lead actress category for her role in Precious against Sandra Bullock, Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren.
Showtime's Dexter continues to chop up the nominations. It received three, tieing NBC's 30 Rock and TNT's The Closer. Celebrities walking the red carpet included Jackson family siblings Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon, singers Adam Lambert, Macy Gray, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and Paula Abdul, actors Will Smith, Vivica A. Fox, Anne Heche, Eric Winter, Roselyn Sanchez, Mickey Rooney and celebutante Paris Hilton, among others.

Will Smith is following in James Franco's soapy shoes and is interested in making a cameo on a soap opera! But unfortunately it's not a U.S. soap opera. While spending time in England promoting his new movie Seven Pounds, Will turned on the TV and became instantly addicted to an EastEnders marathon. He is now hoping to land a quick cameo appearance on the BBC 1 sudser.
Will told The Sun
I was just chilling in my hotel and EastEnders was on TV. I didn't even know what it was, but I literally could not stop watching it.
It was so real and gritty. American soaps are all about the beautiful people and being cheesy. This soap had everything.
There was fighting, people sleeping around - it had it all going on! I'm a bit busy but when things quieten down I'd love to do a cameo. I could make a big entrance in the pub, as you guys call it, and be like: 'Hey, girl let's take this outside.'
