Will Cablevision's Dispute With ABC Cost Much of New York Area Their Mouse House Shows?

Three million Cablevision customers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut could soon be without ABC's Channel 7, thanks to a messy financial dispute between Cablevision and the Disney-ABC Television Group over retransmission fees. Currently, ABC7 is reportedly offered for free, however the affiliate has asked Cablevision to start paying for their signal, a request which Cablevision has reportedly balked at. ABC has given Cablevision until March 7 to reach a deal, or it is set to pull its signal on March 8.

"Year after year, ABC7 is the most watched station in New York—and the country. ‬‪Unfortunately, as of March 7, ABC7 may no longer be carried on Cablevision systems in Long Island, Westchester, Brooklyn, the Bronx and selected suburbs of Connecticut and New Jersey," said Rebecca Campbell, president and general manager of ABC7 in a press release. "‬‪‬‪For the past two years ABC7 has tried, without success, to reach an agreement with Cablevision to carry ABC7. Why? Because Cablevision’s position is that ABC7 is worth little to nothing to its business and its proposed offers have been consistently unreasonable and unrealistic.‬‪ And that’s a shame. "

St. Martin's Press to Release Adult Sweet Valley High Novel!

Okay, St. Martin's Press is fast becoming my favorite publishing house. First they released my literary heroine Jackie Collins' latest tome, Poor Little Bitch Girl on Tuesday, now comes news of an adult follow-up to the monster hit teen book series Sweet Valley High!

According to EW.com, St. Martin's has confirmed plans to publish Sweet Valley Confidential, a novel for fans who grew up in the 80's and 90's with identical twin sisters Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, their friends, rivals and boyfriends in fictional SoCal paradise of Sweet Valley, California. The new novel, which will follow scheming, boy crazy, fashion-obsessed Jess and her level-headed, straight A student sis Liz into adulthood, is being penned by Francine Pascal, who orignally conceived the Sweet Valley saga as a proposed daytime soap opera, before opting to turn her story bible into a book series.

Sweet Valley High ultimately made it to television, at any rate, as a syndicated, weekly dramedy starring real life twins Brittany and Cynthia Daniel as Jessica and Liz, respectively.  The series (which did not do the franchise justice) ran from 1994-97 (See clip after the jump).

Sherri Shepherd's Ex-Husband Wants Her To Shut It Down About Their Marriage

Uh oh! The View's Sherri Shepherd is in hot water and this time its with her ex-husband. In an exclusive with RadarOnline.com, Jeff Tarpley, Shepherd's ex has written an open letter about the ABC gab queen's habit of constantly using their divorce—and what led up to it— as material for discussions on The View, her self-titled Lifetime sitcom and for her stand-up comedy act. In the letter Tarpley says,

Having a relationship and children with a person in the limelight— someone who gets to express her thoughts, beliefs, opinions and grievances to the world on a daily basis — is not an easy proposition.

Sherri Shepherd, to whom I was married for 8 years and have an amazing son with, has openly discussed and distorted details of our marriage for close to six years following our break-up. To this very day, my name is consistently dragged through the mud at her every opportunity. Sherri, don't you think it's time to move on?

Poor Little Bitch Girl, Jackie Collins' 27th Novel Goes On Sale Today!!!

The most soaptastic novelist since God wrote the bible, Jackie Collins is releasing her 27th book in the United States today, and to say I am a little excited would be like saying CBS is a little trigger happy when it comes to cancelling soap operas!

Collins' latest bonkbuster, hilariously-entitled Poor Little Bitch Girl, revisits the world of the unstoppable Santangelo crime family. Only this time it isn't lady boss Lucky Santangelo—my favorite female fiction character ever—who's the center of attention, it's Lucky's son Bobby Santangelo Stanislopolous, son of late billionaire shipping magnate Dimitri Stanislopolous, and Lucky's wild child daughter Maria "Max" Golden, who sex and scandalize their way through the pages of what is sure to be another raunchy Collins scorcher.

Poor Little Bitch Girl introduces three new characters into the Santangelo universe—Annabelle, the daughter of Hollywood royalty, who runs a high-priced call-girl ring in New York with her cokehead boyfriend; Denver, a nymphomaniac attorney, who defends Annabelle's father when he is charged with the murder of Annabelle's mother and Carolyn, who's carrying on with a married senator. All three girls grew up with Lucky's son Bobby and share sordid pasts with the sex god.

A friend bought the novel for me on pre-order, so it should be waiting on my doorstep when I get home. Let's just say if you hear about anyone getting mowed down on a dark, Southern street tonight it's because they got in my way on the drive home! After the jump, check out the splashy, retro opening from the hit 80's NBC miniseries Lucky Chances (which combined Collins' first two Santangelo novels), starring Nicollette Sheridan as Lucky, Vincent Irizarry as Gino, Eric Braeden as Dimitri, Leanne Hunley as Eden, Michael Nader as Enzio, Phil Morris as Steven, Grant Show as Marco and a young Sandra Bullock as Maria Santangelo. If Fronsie buys the distribution rights to Lucky Chances and puts it on SOAPnet I promise I will never break another ABC Daytime scandal again! (Fingers, toes and all other crossable parts crossed).
