DC Exclusive: Lonelygirl15 Heartthrob Jackson Davis Previews Tonight's CSI Appearance

You can't have a conversation about how to make a web series successful without mentioning the monster hits Lonelygirl15 and its spinoff serials KateModern and LG15: The Resistance. Jackson Davis appeared in all three shows as Jonas, even taking center stage in the latter. Now the talented, drop dead gorgeous actor is living the life he could only dream about while growing up in rural Pennsylvania, thanks to his breakout success on the web.

Tonight, however, it's old school TV where you can find Davis, appearing on an episode of the much-watched CBS crime procedural CSI, as a dirty, sexy drug dealer who causes trouble for the crime scene investigators. I caught up with Davis, who revealed why he left the Navy to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor, and how the website Amazon.com played a part in that development. We also talked about his upcoming web series Trauma Team, costarring an actress some of you might be familiar with. Her name is Eden Riegel.

Daytime Confidential:  Tell me a little bit about the character you're playing on tonight's CSI.

Jackson Davis: Well, he is a drug dealer and drug maker, and he and his partner are being kept under surveillance by the CSI team. The title of the episode is "The Panty Sniffer."

Which CBS Series Has Been The Worst This Fall?

It's not always easy choosing the "worst" show on a network like CBS, which has such a reliable stable of shows. However, of this fall's CBS lineup Gary Unmarried is my pick. I've tried to enjoy this sitcom, but I just can't. If I'm unlucky enough to end up watching it, by the time the 8PM CST hour rolls around I couldn't be more ready to switch to ABC's Modern Family or Fox's Glee.

Which CBS Series Has Been the Best This Fall?

We continue our look back at the 2009 fall TV season with its new and returning series, by focusing on CBS and its procedural heavy lineup. I've thoroughly enjoyed How I Met Your Mother for years, but this summer I fell in love with The Big Bang Theory while it was in rerurns and couldn't wait for it to return with fresh episodes in the fall. I was not disappointed.

Thursday Nights, The DVR Dilemma

I read an interesting article at The Live Feed asking whether or not Fox made a mistake by moving Fringe to Thursdays. It made me think about how I’m adapting to the night when my two DVRs are at their busiest, what I’m watching live and how long it is taking me to get to shows I still love, but have a hard time finding time to watch. Let me break it down.

I don’t watch CBS’ Thursday night lineup. I started to fall for The Mentalist at the end of last season, enjoyed catching up with it in reruns over the summer and had it scheduled on my DVR this season, but I have yet to watch a new episode. In fact I had to delete it off my DVR because there just isn’t enough time to watch Thursday’s, Friday’s and Sunday’s shows by Monday morning, when the TV week starts all over again. I’ll have to catch up on it in the off season or next summer. READ MORE
