Fringe

FOX Renews Fringe!

FOX recently announced it has renewed the sci fi, cult drama Fringe for a third season!

FRINGE tapped into a deep creative mine this year that built momentum throughout the season and helped give us our first real foothold on TV's most competitive night," said Reilly. "The entire FRINGE team - from the producers and writers to the cast and crew - has taken smart storytelling and top production quality to a whole new level. The rest of this season is mind-blowing, and we can't wait to get started on the third installment of this amazing journey."

Are you happy about this news? Do you think the show can survive a third season?

Thursday Nights, The DVR Dilemma

I read an interesting article at The Live Feed asking whether or not Fox made a mistake by moving Fringe to Thursdays. It made me think about how I’m adapting to the night when my two DVRs are at their busiest, what I’m watching live and how long it is taking me to get to shows I still love, but have a hard time finding time to watch. Let me break it down.

I don’t watch CBS’ Thursday night lineup. I started to fall for The Mentalist at the end of last season, enjoyed catching up with it in reruns over the summer and had it scheduled on my DVR this season, but I have yet to watch a new episode. In fact I had to delete it off my DVR because there just isn’t enough time to watch Thursday’s, Friday’s and Sunday’s shows by Monday morning, when the TV week starts all over again. I’ll have to catch up on it in the off season or next summer. READ MORE

Fringe Season 2: Endless Possibilities

Off all the series that debuted during the 2008/2009 TV season, the one I'm looking forward to returning most is Fringe. The first blend of sci-fi and procedural, Fringe boasts a stellar cast, with shocking twists and out-of-this-world mysteries. How can anyone forget it's jaw dropping season finale? I certainly haven't. Now comes the second season art for Fringe. My first thought was that the hole is an Alice in Wonderland-like metaphor. My second thought was to wonder if there was a connection between Lost's hatch and Fringe's hole? I know, I'm probably over thinking the connection between J.J. Abrams' two shows, but I swear at some point we're going to learn that there is a substantive tie between them.
